Intimate Spaces

Intimate Spaces è un progetto in corso dell’artista italiano Riccardo Paracchini, pensato per portare i suoi dipinti all’interno di case private nel mondo. Le opere vivono così in relazione diretta con la quotidianità, condivise fra chi abita quegli spazi e la loro cerchia di amici e conoscenti.

Per la tappa attualmente attiva nei Paesi Bassi, la famiglia De Vries accoglie una selezione di lavori nella propria abitazione in Overtoom 409, Amsterdam. La scelta di aderire al progetto nasce da un rapporto personale con l’artista e da una sensibilità condivisa verso forme di esposizione più intime, dove l’arte si inserisce naturalmente nella vita domestica.

L’iniziativa propone una modalità di fruizione che supera la distinzione tra luogo espositivo e luogo privato, trasformando la casa in un ambiente di incontro, affinità e relazione con l’opera. La visione è riservata alla famiglia ospitante, ai loro invitati e conoscenti.

Intimate Spaces is een doorlopend project van de Italiaanse kunstenaar Riccardo Paracchini, waarbij zijn schilderijen worden geplaatst in privéwoningen over de hele wereld. De werken maken zo deel uit van het dagelijks leven en worden gedeeld met bewoners, vrienden en kennissen.

Voor de huidige Nederlandse editie verwelkomt de familie De Vries een selectie van de werken in hun woning aan Overtoom 409, Amsterdam. Hun deelname komt voort uit een persoonlijke band met de kunstenaar en een gedeelde belangstelling voor intiemere vormen van tentoonstellen, waarin kunst zich op een natuurlijke manier verweeft met de huiselijke omgeving.

Het project biedt een vorm van ontmoeting die voorbijgaat aan de traditionele scheiding tussen publieke tentoonstellingsruimtes en privéruimtes. De woning wordt een plek van nabijheid, uitwisseling en een directe relatie met het kunstwerk. De werken zijn te zien voor de familie, hun gasten en hun kennissenkring.

Intimate Spaces is an ongoing project by Italian artist Riccardo Paracchini, conceived to place his paintings inside private homes around the world. The works become part of daily life, shared among those who inhabit these spaces and their circle of friends and acquaintances.

For the current Dutch chapter, the De Vries family is hosting a selection of artworks in their residence at Overtoom 409, Amsterdam. Their participation stems from a personal connection with the artist and a shared sensitivity toward more intimate modes of exhibition, where art naturally blends into the domestic environment.

The project offers a form of encounter that goes beyond the traditional separation between public exhibition venues and private spaces, transforming the home into a setting of closeness, exchange, and personal engagement with the artwork.
